The Health Ministry has revised required global travel rules for Indians who have been evacuated from war-ravaged Ukraine, which is under threat by Russia, allowing passengers to travel without a negative RTPCR negative report or a certificate of complete vaccination.

The health ministry announced that mandatory international travel guidelines were updated to meet humanitarian needs.

“The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in close collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Civil Aviation and Ministry of Home Affairs is lending all support possible in evacuating Indians from Ukraine,” an official statement said.

Indian nationals are also not able to benefit from uploading their documents before departure on the Air-Suvidha Portal.

People who have had their Covid-19 vaccination, regardless of their destination country or the vaccination date, can now depart the airport of arrival in India with the recommendation to keep track of their health over the next 14 days, India’s health ministry stated.

If a person cannot provide an initial RT testing for PCR or is not yet vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccination, the government has granted the traveler to submit their sample at the time of their arrival.
